What MarketMuse provides
MarketMuse is a content strategy and optimisation platform built around topic modelling, inventory analysis and competitive research.
Its Compete, SERP X-Ray, Heatmap and Research features inspect ranking pages, SERP competitors and country-specific results to identify content gaps and intent.
Where the redirect matters
The product compares the URLs and pages ranking for one or more Google queries. If the result anchor no longer exposes the publisher URL, competitor discovery, SERP-overlap clustering, content briefs and difficulty signals may need an added resolution step. The risk is concentrated in fresh research runs rather than in the whole application. SERP competitor discovery is exposed, while proprietary topic models and existing content inventory analysis are not wholly dependent on Google anchors.
/goto?url=[hash]resolve + attributepublisher URLWhat MarketMuse has said
No public /goto response foundNo indexed, provider-owned page or attributable public statement from MarketMuse specifically addressing Google’s /goto rollout was located by 13 September 2026. Social or support updates may be unindexed or account-only.
The service may continue by matching displayed hosts, using cached SERPs, resolving links itself or buying resolved results upstream. Exact page comparison and SERP-overlap analysis still require reliable destination URLs.
There is no provider-specific /goto test, incident record or resolution benchmark to validate. MarketMuse may be operating normally, but silence cannot establish unaffected status or reveal which data path it uses.
No /goto-specific price, quota, refresh-frequency or result-depth change was found. That does not show internal costs are unchanged: a provider could absorb them, reduce margin or alter collection without a public pricing notice.
No provider-specific /goto release or attributable statement is linked because none was found in the public review.
What is known — and what is not
The provider documents live SERP, ranking-URL or competitor-page analysis. Unless a provider statement is cited, the effect is an architectural assessment and not evidence of a current outage or inaccurate report.
What customers should monitor
- Competitor URLs represented as google.com/goto links
- Empty or duplicated competitors in fresh reports
- Slower report generation or changed SERP-credit usage
What should remain outside the change
- Existing briefs built from previously resolved URLs
- Writing, editing and workflow features that do not refresh Google results
