What Nozzle provides
Nozzle is a specialist full-SERP monitoring platform that tracks every ranking entity and competitor and stores detailed observations for analysis.
Rather than checking only one domain, Nozzle analyses domains, subdomains, URLs, brands, pixel position and above-the-fold visibility across the whole result page.
Where the redirect matters
The Google collector must map every observed position to a domain and landing page. Opaque redirects can force a new resolution step, creating a risk of missing URLs, false volatility, slower refreshes or higher collection costs. Full-SERP and top-100 tracking multiply that work across every keyword and location. Whole-SERP URL recovery creates maximum exposure because every organic result may need resolving.
/goto?url=[hash]resolve + attributepublisher URLWhat Nozzle has said
Specific /goto responseNozzle founder Derek Perkins reported near-complete rollout across several residential-IP providers and said Nozzle discarded affected pages during testing rather than let unresolved links enter customer data.
Perkins said the tokens could not be decoded locally and estimated that resolving a five-page result set by following every redirect could require 500–1,000 requests. Discarding and refetching is a data-quality safeguard, not a scalable final resolution method.
This is the most technically specific field observation, backed by Nozzle’s own collection telemetry, but the raw dataset and sampling method were not published. No later provider-owned notice confirming a complete production fix was located by the review date.
No /goto-specific customer price or quota change was announced. The disclosed request multiplier supports a real internal cost and latency risk if full redirect-following is required.
What is known — and what is not
The source record above is the latest attributable evidence located for Nozzle. Its stated outcome is not treated as an independent accuracy audit: the exposure rating still describes the relevant product’s dependence on resolving live Google result URLs.
What customers should monitor
- Provider commentary from Nozzle about mitigation
- Gaps in full-SERP URL, domain or brand attribution
- Changes in refresh cadence or collection depth
What should remain outside the change
- Historical reports built from already resolved records
- Tracking on engines that do not use Google’s redirect
Read rank checks alongside Search Console
Match query, country, device and dates before comparing a tracker with GSC. Average position describes recorded impressions; it is not a fixed-location check. Review the reported page and clicks when a URL switches, and investigate whether the change is harmful before treating it as cannibalisation.
Use a fixed commercial watchlist alongside wider query discovery and lead outcomes. A missing check or incomplete SERP is not a measured ranking loss. Our SEO Stack review explains the measurements, and the Google analysis separates result-depth, access and URL-resolution failures.
