What Profound provides
Profound is an enterprise AI visibility and answer-engine optimisation platform for brands measuring how they appear in generated answers.
It monitors AI platforms, citations and prompts and provides analytics for brand presence in generative search.
Where the redirect matters
Potential exposure is limited to Google AI Overviews, AI Mode or corroborating organic-result collection that passes through the changed Search surface. Monitoring ChatGPT, Perplexity and other independent systems does not inherit Google’s /goto redirect.
/goto?url=[hash]resolve + attributepublisher URLWhat Profound has said
No public /goto response foundNo indexed, provider-owned page or attributable public statement from Profound specifically addressing Google’s /goto rollout was located by 13 September 2026. Social or support updates may be unindexed or account-only.
Only Google-grounded retrieval and citation tracking is directly exposed. Monitoring other answer engines can continue independently, while any Google citation represented as a /goto URL must be resolved before domain attribution.
There is no provider-specific /goto test, incident record or resolution benchmark to validate. Profound may be operating normally, but silence cannot establish unaffected status or reveal which data path it uses.
No /goto-specific price, quota, refresh-frequency or result-depth change was found. That does not show internal costs are unchanged: a provider could absorb them, reduce margin or alter collection without a public pricing notice.
No provider-specific /goto release or attributable statement is linked because none was found in the public review.
What is known — and what is not
This is a cautious feature-level inference. No service disruption is claimed, and conventional SERP scraping should not be confused with monitoring every generative answer engine.
What customers should monitor
- Missing publisher citations specifically in Google reports
- Citations represented as Google intermediary URLs
- Stable non-Google results during a Google-only anomaly
What should remain outside the change
- Non-Google AI engine monitoring
- Prompt, reporting and content-readiness workflows
