What Wope provides
Wope is an SEO research platform that previously sold a dedicated keyword Rank Tracker module.
The platform now focuses on SEO research, backlinks and competitive analysis; its application displays a notice that the Rank Tracker module is ending.
Where the redirect matters
The Google collector must map every observed position to a domain and landing page. Opaque redirects can force a new resolution step, creating a risk of missing URLs, false volatility, slower refreshes or higher collection costs. Full-SERP and top-100 tracking multiply that work across every keyword and location. Wope's own application says it is ending the Rank Tracker module because of Google's restrictions. That is direct evidence of a material product consequence, although the notice does not attribute the decision specifically to /goto rather than Google's wider anti-scraping changes.
/goto?url=[hash]resolve + attributepublisher URLWhat Wope has said
No durable public Wope statement specifically addressing /goto was found. Its live application displays an account-level notice that Rank Tracker is ending because of Google restrictions, while the public site now focuses on SEO research. The notice does not identify /goto as the cause.
Ending the module removes the live-Google collection dependency rather than mitigating the redirect. Wope’s wider research and backlink functions can continue where they use different sources.
The current research-only offer supports the product pivot, but the in-app wording has no durable public permalink and is not granular enough to separate /goto from the earlier num=100 removal, anti-bot changes or other costs.
Product discontinuation is more consequential than a unit-price change. Customers should confirm export, historical-access and subscription arrangements directly because the public notice does not publish a /goto-specific tariff impact.
What is known — and what is not

What customers should monitor
- The timetable for Rank Tracker shutdown and data export
- Whether historical projects remain accessible
- Which SEO Research features continue to use live SERPs
What should remain outside the change
- Backlink research not sourced from live Google result anchors
- Historical exports retained by customers
Read rank checks alongside Search Console
Match query, country, device and dates before comparing a tracker with GSC. Average position describes recorded impressions; it is not a fixed-location check. Review the reported page and clicks when a URL switches, and investigate whether the change is harmful before treating it as cannibalisation.
Use a fixed commercial watchlist alongside wider query discovery and lead outcomes. A missing check or incomplete SERP is not a measured ranking loss. Our SEO Stack review explains the measurements, and the Google analysis separates result-depth, access and URL-resolution failures.
